As Johnny Depp’s $50 million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard just passed its sixth week, there’s another viral moment that happened during testimony. Tina Newman, who is a production manager at Walt Disney Studios, was asked about the potential return of Pirates of the Caribbean in reference to an earlier Depp quote about alpacas and the actor burst out laughing uncontrollably.
Earlier in the libel trial, when the Edward Scissorhands the actor was on the stand, one of Amber Heard’s attorneys, Ben Rottenborn, referenced a previous deposition by Johnny Depp that never made it to court about his thoughts on returning for a upcoming movie of Pirates of the Caribbean franchise for “300 million dollars and a million alpacas” in his words, which he confirmed was true. In the video shared by the Law and Crime Network, the Disney production manager was asked if she knew the Jack Sparrow actor had sworn he wouldn’t return to the hit franchise even for $300 million and a million alpacas. She simply says “no” before one of Amber Heard’s other lawyers, Elaine Bredehoft, asks if the firm would “entertain” by paying her more than that fee for another. pirate film, to which she also said “no”. If you look at the Oscar nominee’s reaction, he can’t help but laugh in court right now, which led to him trying to cover his mouth and face with his hand.

It was a lengthy trial, much of which involved serious claims, including Amber Heard alleging Johnny Depp tried to kill her among other cases of sexual and physical abuse. Other recent developments have included former Depp CFO Joel Mandel recalling the actor’s crazy spending habits and his former career-sharing agent suffered before Amber Heard’s Washington Post op-ed, which is the subject of the libel suit.
Amid the highly publicized case, in which the Alice in Wonderland star says his ex-wife was abusive towards him, it had a share of moments that made the actor laugh.
