Queen Elizabeth could be angry if she prefers Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to the working royals during her Jubilee celebrations, a royal expert has claimed.
Camilla Tominey, a royal commentator, warned the 96-year-old about Prince Harry and Meghan’s visit to the UK, saying ‘they can’t have a side show’.
The Queen, according to the expert, cannot have a ‘Harry and Meghan side show’ during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations as it would create resentment among other members of the Royal Family.
According to the commentator, it is important that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not distracted active members of the family, including Princess Anne, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
“You can include the Sussexes but you don’t want some sort of Harry and Meghan side show going on when the main event has to be HMQ the Queen and there will also be other royals who will be doing always the day job who won’t appreciate being upstaged by Harry and Meghan even if they don’t admit it,” she told the Telegraph.
Camilla continued: “You won’t want to have people like Princess Anne and the Earl and Countess of Wessex for example who day in and day out plant trees, unveil plaques and go to the openings of royal envelopes just to have The media focuses entirely on Harry and Meghan who play no part in the so-called family.”
The royal expert’s comments come ahead of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, which runs from June 2-5, which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they were “excited and honoured” to attend.
